The Basics:

Now, it's very rare that I but a DC Collectibles figure, as I am an articulation junkie, but certain characters I will break down and get, and Joker for me, is always a must get, so this guy was a no brainer. His sculpt is fantastic. It's based on his like in Batman #'s 13-17, The Death of The Family arc from new 52 in which the Joker has come back from his one year absence after having his face cut off. This captures his look perfectly and the face sculpt is just top notch. It's incredibly eerie with not one pin or staple out of place. The body sculpt is just as good, with some nice paint shading on the suit and the belt is superb. Most of the tools on his belt are sculpted on but four are removable, which brings us to his accessories.
The Joker comes with a hammer, wrench, saw, and pliers. All four are sculpted and painted with great detail. The hammer and wrench fit the best in his right hand and the pliers and saw fit the best in his left. The tool belt also features pouches for each if you want him displayed without any of his instruments of torture.
In terms of articulation Joker has a balljointed head that can swivel more than anything else, a swivel-hinge shoulder, swivel biceps, hinge elbows, swivel wrists, swivel waists, T-joint hips, hinge knees and swivel ankles. Not bad, but not the best.
Overall The Joker is a really well done figure that is visually impressive and looks great next to Batman on the shelf. Despite limited articulation, his great sculpt and accessory count makes him a must get for all Joker fans and DC comics fans!In terms of articulation Joker has a balljointed head that can swivel more than anything else, a swivel-hinge shoulder, swivel biceps, hinge elbows, swivel wrists, swivel waists, T-joint hips, hinge knees and swivel ankles. Not bad, but not the best.
9.5 Out Of 10!!
And Now, onto the Arkham Origins Collector's Edition!
The Collector's set will set you back about $120 but with everything it comes with, it's well worth it, the only thing not pictured are two DLC codes. One for the Deathstroke pack, and one for the First Appearance Batman skin.
First and foremost, my favorite piece from the set is without a doubt the Joker statue. It is just hands down amazing. The sculpting, paint, everything is so well down, and it has an awesome feature which you can see in the pics below!
LOOK AT IT!! LOOK AT IT AND MARVEL AT IT!!!
Next we have of course, the game itself, as well as the Blu-Ray edition of the documentary: "Necessary Evil: Super Villains of DC Comics".
Deeper in the box we have a GCPD Wanted Poster for the Batman as well as the schematics to the Bat Plane!
We also have a map of Gotham city and when the lights go out, all of the markings glow neon green.
Also included is an Anarky stencil, and a portrait of the Wayne family
Now here is my second favorite piece. The Black Mask dossier that is given to each of the Assassin's in the game. Inside is the "Assassin's Agreement", a poster featuring the details of the hit, a note from Black Mask, and GCPD files on each Assassin.
Lastly we have two pieces of bagged evidence from the GCPD evidence room, one is a casino chip from the Penguin's casino and the other is I believe killer Croc's tooth, and an 80 page art booklet!
This was hands down the best Collector's Edition I have ever bought before, well worth the price. I did finally beat the game itself and will wait until mid-November to review it, give everyone a chance to play before posting my review which will contain mild spoilers. Thanks for stopping by to check out this post and check back soon for a review of the SDCC New 52 Shazam figure!!
Bro have you that GCPD fils yet ?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I don't understand the question. What about the GCPD files?
