Review of Marvel Universe Heroic Age Iron Man!

The Basics:

Character Bio:
This is the sleekest, most lightweight armor ever designed by Tony Stark. Built to meet the parameters of any possible challenge, it is covered in ports that can house any of hundreds of mission-specific modules. In the space of moments, this armor can swap out a suite of research scanners for a weapons package that would put most battleships to shame.

Sculpt and Paint:

 

First and foremost I'd like to say that pictures do not do this paint job justice. The metallic hot rod red and gold are applied beautifully with no slop. Secondly this Iron Man is from the Heroic Age Heroes three pack. His casemates will be reviewed at a later time. Now The sculpt is absolutely fantastic. Nothing was changed from his initial release. The armor is fantastic and just great to look at.

 

The chest piece in particular just looks stunning. All of the little arc reactors are individually sculpted and the whole suit just looks stunning. As I said earlier, there are no paint issues, finally, I've wanted to say that for sssooo long. Here is a picture that I hope does the paint job some justice:

Articulation and Accessories:

I refuse to acknowledge his friggin "Snap on Blast" as an accessory because it comes with every damn figure in the MU line. I swear all I need is a purple one and I'll have it in every color of the rainbow. Now onto a happier note. For articulation Tony has a swivel-hinge neck, swivel-hinge shoulders, swivel biceps, hinge elbows, swivel wrists, ball jointed torso, ball jointed hips, swivel hips, double hinge knees, and swivel-hinge ankles.

 

OVERALL:

This is a fantastic Iron Man, wonderful paint and sculpt, fantastic articulation, easily the best Iron Man to come out of the Marvel Universe line.
