Review of Marvel Select Disney Store Exclusive Unleashed Hulk!

Whoo, quite the mouthful, ok, moving on.

The Basics:
Scale: 11" verging on 12"
Price: $22.99 in store, $29.99 - $35.85 on Amazon

Character Bio:
Hulk smashes, Hulk crashes, Hulk is an unstoppable mass of muscle and green-skinned fury. He bears little resemblance to his alter ego (the mild mannered Bruce Banner) save for the selfless scientist’s tattered pants. While Hulk fights for good, his unpredictability and sheer strength make him a big-time annoyance to the world’s biggest governing bodies.

Sculpt and Paint:

What?? ANOTHER Hulk figure?? Yes, yes I know, I know, but the green goliath is one of those characters where no matter how many times I tell myself this is the last Hulk figure I'm going to get another comes out and I need to get it. Why? Because I have a weak spot for The Hulk. Anyway, this particulat incarnation of the Hulk is based on the Marc Silvestir, and Jason Aaron run on the Incredible Hulk (If you haven't checked it out, you should) and he looks like he smashed his way out of the comics. Big, brolic and veiny, this Hulk is fantastic.

Even his pants are sculpted amazingly. The rips are well done, and sharp as hell, actually cut my finger on one of them. Please don't ask. The back pockets are actually sculpted to have a "stretching look". That's awesome.

One thing I've always had a problem with is the face sculpts on Hulk figures. Some are too angry, some aren't angry enough. This one I feel is just right. He looks pissed. Not snarling with rage but just pissed. And I like it. His paint is flawless down to the last detail.

Articulation and Accessories:

In terms of articulation he has a pretty good range of movement. He has a ball jointed head, swivel-hinge shoulders, swivel-hinge elbows, swivel wrists, swivel waist, swivel-hinge thighs, swivel hips, swivel-hinge knees, and hinge ankles. So it's not amazing, but better than the previous comic MS Hulk, and he can definitly pull off some Hulk poses. For accessories, you guessed it, bupkis.

Overall:Hulk is a solid figure but his score is hurt by not having an accessory, and having limited articulation. That's not to say you shouldn't buy him. He is still Incredible!

8.5 out of 10!!
