Iron Man Week, Day 3, Review of Mark IV, V, and VI

Welcome back for day 3 of Iron Man Week, today we are going to take a look at the 3 3/4" figures of the Mark IV, Mark V, and Mark VI from Hasbro's 3 3/4" Iron Man 2 line!

Mark IV:Deep in the vault that contains all of Tony Stark's untested prototypes, powerful armor suits await the day they'll be needed. The Iron Man IV is a perfection of all the refinements made in the Mark III. Its boot jets and repulsars are tuned to the absolute maximum of potential power output, giving the Mark IV an unprecedented edge in speed and firepower. Even Jarvis got an upgrade making the computer smarter and able to track scores of targets at once.

Sculpt and paint:
This figure is the Mark IV and therefore has a brand new sculpt. I think the head is different as well but that's kind of hard to tell. Regardless, It has a nice overall look to it but I have one gripe and it doesn't affect every figure. The Mark IV is packaged with an open right hand and a closed left as opposed to the Mark VI which has a closed right and opened left....my Mark IV has two closed hands........I don't know how or why. It's not the biggest deal in the world to me as the hands can be switched if necessary. Other than that it's a beautiful sculpt. The paint is good on mine but let me tell you, I had to go through at least 10 of these to find a decent one. You don't have to worry about the red, it's the gold paint apps you need to look out for.

Accessories and Articulation
In terms of accessories the Mark IV comes with a gimmicky launching weapon that does bug me but only to an extent because its not as obnoxiously big as some of the other luanchers in the Iron Man 2 line. He also has a display stand with the standard Armor Cards, a set of 3 cards, 1 full color, 2 transparent, that press together to form the armor that the figure represents.
In terms of articulation the Mark IV has a ball-jointed head, swivel-hinge shoulders, swivel-hinge elbows, swivel wrist, ball-jointed torso, swivel-hinge hips, swivel thighs, double-hinge knees, and swivel-hinge ankles.

Mark V:Seeking an answer to the problem of armor accessibility Tony Stark created the Mark V, also known as the suitcase armor, for a quick response to emergencies wherever he may be.

Sculpt and Paint
This figure is from the Target exclusive set that comes with Whiplash with electric whips and a NAVY Drone. Its the exact same figure as the original. The sculpt is the exact same and still beautiful. I mean this figure is probably my favorite, if not second favorite of the movie series 3 3/4" Iron Man 2 line. Theres just so much detail in one little figure. Now one very minor difference between this and the original figure release is that on the helmet of this one, on the faceplate it has panel lines that the original lacked. In terms of paint, this one is much more movie accurate amd darker,  and I found no paint quality control issues at all!

Accessories and Articulation
In terms of accessories the Mark V comes with a gimmicky launching comedically oversized  suitcase that has two giant missles and can open to reveal inner details. He has a switchable left hand that is a clutched pose to hold the suitcase as well. He also has a display stand with the standard Armor Cards, a set of 3 cards, 1 full color, 2 transparent, that press together to form the armor that the figure represents.
In terms of articulation the Mark V has a ball-jointed head, swivel-hinge shoulders, swivel-hinge elbows, swivel wrist, ball-jointed torso, swivel-hinge hips, swivel thighs, double-hinge knees, and swivel-hinge ankles.
Mark VI:
The ultimate upgrade to the Iron Man armor, the Mark VI is unstoppable and nearly indestructable. It is powered by the most advanced ARC Reactor yet, and packed with weapons undreamed of by even the most brilliant military scientist. Wearing this armor, Tony Stark becomes one of the most powerful forces on the planet.

Paint and Sculpt
This figure is the same sculpt as the Mark IV so I won't spend too much time on it BUT the difference is the chest. This  armor features the triangle chest arc and looks really nice, I prefer it to the Mark IV's chest arc, I don't know it just looked wierd to me. That said the paint job is stunning. This is the version that came with the Target exclusive Hall of Armor Base. Looking through the masses it was relatively easy to find one with a good paint job, just watch for the silver applications.

Accessories and Articulation
In terms of accessoried he comes with a light up Hall of Armor base that can connect with other Hall Of Armor figures. It's really well detailed and just overall awesome!
In terms of articulation the Mark VI has a ball-jointed head, swivel-hinge shoulders, swivel-hinge elbows, swivel wrist, ball-jointed torso, swivel-hinge hips, swivel thighs, double-hinge knees, and swivel-hinge ankles.
