Sculpt and Paint:
I was never one to get statues, or "staction" figures. I would of course make exceptions if I really like the character, or if they were really well done, hence this "figure". The reason I put figure in quotations is that, well, despite the tag line "Deluxe Action Figure", he doesn't really move. A few cut joints here and there but nothing to really add much movement. However, he just looks amazing and is really well done, plus Rick is my favorite character from The Walking Dead. This isn't like most of the figures I review as the main thing to review is the look of it, so for this review, the pictures will do most of the talking.

The sculpt is amazing on this figure. The head sculpt, which really interested me as I remember reading somewhere that someone from McFarlane Toys said that these 10" figures really give them room to shine with all of the intricate details. This head sculpt is amazing BUT something is still lost. As I said in the review of the 5" Rick from series 6, from the right angle, it's dead on Andrew Lincoln, but straight ahead, something is just off, and I really can't pinpoint what it is. It's still one of the best Rick head sculpts coming out of Mcfarlane Toys.He has his nice blue eyes, and the beard paint is well applied. The hair is really nicely and intricately sculpted as well.

The sculpt on the rest of the figure is amazing, and I do wish they went with this style of sculpt for the torso and upper arms on the 5" figure, as his shirt looks a lot less baggy here. The shirt is really well done though with tiny wrinkles all over and you can even see the seams around the shoulders. One good thing (which I was worried about) is that either arm you use, fits perfectly, and doesn't leave an odd gap at the right shoulder. The shirt is also well painted with a ton of different tones in order to get the right shades needed for certain areas. His left hand has his watch and wedding ring sculpted on.

The belt is probably my favorite part of the outfit to look out because of all the detail. The belt has a really nice sculpted texture to it that perfectly replicates the belt from the show, and is painted really well to make it look worn. The pouches are all well sculpted with a worn paint job and he even has his switchblade on his belt. His colt python holster is a bit of a softer plastic, but not as soft as the one on the 5" so I would recommend taking care with it.

His pants, like the shirt are also well sculpted with some wrinkles, and of course, a really nice paint job to make them look worn. His shoes have a nice leathery look to them with some dirt on them as well.

Articulation and Accessories:
Since this is a "Deluxe Action Figure" he is more of a staction piece than anything, but he does have a few "articulation" points. He has a slight swivel at the elbows on all arms, a swivel at the wrist, a swivel at the waist, and ball-jointed ankles.
For accessories, Rick comes with two right arms, one fully extended to hold his Colt Python Revolver, and one bent in to hold the rifle over his shoulder.

Other than that he comes with his Colt Python that fits into the holster perfectly and very tightly into his hand. It fits perfectly in the extended arm but it does require some force to get it in the hand, so I suggest taking serious care when doing that, and maybe even try heating the hand a bit with a blow dryer to get it in. The revolver is painted really well with a nice shine, but also signs of rust and age. The handle even has a nice texture to it.

The rifle is sculpted really well and only fits into the bent arm. It has a nice look to it but I feel like the paint apps could have been a bit better to convey that it's wood. Everything else about it is really well done, and if you don't want him holding it, you can use the pliable strap to sling it across his torso.

Lastly, he comes with an underwhelming knife. There's nothing really wrong with it but it is rather plain. It fits into his left hand, but is very tight, and after putting it in, it took off some of the palms paint. Other than that, there is no storage for it.

Overall:
This is a really well done "figure". It doesn't move much at all, but detail wise it is amazing. He comes with great accessories, and the paint is really well applied. As I said above, the pictures do the talking for this figure, but when it comes down to it, if you're a fan of The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes, and want a really nice display piece, this is a must have!
