Fridays Review: Stretch Strike Venom!!!!!!!

How do you know if I REALLY like a figure? It's simple. I'll buy a second one to keep in the packaging as a "trophy" of sorts.
Yeah......thats how much i like this Venom Figure.

The Basics:Price: $6 - $12 in stores, $20 - 50 online
Scale: 4"

First Thoughts:OOOOOHHHHHHH MMMMMYYYYYYYYY GGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that was what i thought when i saw this bad boy casually placed on a target shelf for $5.40 ($6 with tax)

Sculpt:So.....many....details......
The sculpt is phenomenal. The deatil put into this figure is astonishing, from his tendrils to his teeth every detail is beyond perfect.

LOOK AT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Accessories:Venom comes with his "Stretch attack arm" that does exactly what it says...it stretches.....its not the most exciting accessory but it does look cool and offers pose variety
Articulation:Ball jointed head
Swivel hinge hips,shoulders,elbos, and knees
swivel thigh
its a shame he doesnt have any wrist or ankle articulation but it doesnt limit the figrue at all!

Overall:Words cannot express how fantastic this figure is!

I give it a 10 out of 10!!!!!

Well thats it for today! be sure to check back monday to see how this guys 7" counterpart stacks up!!

Thursdays Review.....kind of... Batman:Hush Superman!!!

Ok, originally i was going to review the DC Universe Classics Aquaman, but i decided to hold off on him until monday. Today i will be taking a look at one of my prized figures!

The Basics:
Price:
$19 - $60 online

Scale: 6.5"
Sculpt: A phenomenal sculpt, like he was torn right out of the comic! Even the little details are fantastic such as the
Poison Ivy roots on his arms and neck.

Paint:A flawless paint job, nothing more to say.

Accessories:Superman had a standard DC Direct Batman Base WITH 2 foot pegs that can be removed for his flight stand!
Articulation:Ball jointed head and shoulders
Hinge elbows, knees and ankles.

Overall:This is not a toy. The lack of articulation alone will tell you that. It was made FOR collectors and can only pull off the "hovering"pose shown below. That doesnt mean this isnt a great collectible. Its simple, yet elegant. A must have for Superman fans.
8 out of 10!!

Tuesday's Review :Heroic Age Captain America

The Basics:
Scale:
3 3/4"

Price: $9.99

First Thoughts:ITS BUCKY CAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *geek speak: bucky cap is the name given to captain amaerica when bucky took up the mantle in the "Death of Captain America" storyline*

Sculpt:An excellent representation of Bucky Cap, a nice build, but not TOO Muscular. The face detail is great and the boots and gloves look fantastic!!
Paint:
A Fantastic paint job with only two minor gripes. A bit of black smudge on the "A" on his mask and the star on his chest is off center. When picking one up off the shelves definitly watch those areas.

Accessories:
Cap comes with his shield that can either be clipped onto his arm or plugged into his back as well asa pistol and knife that store on his belt.

Articulation:Ball jointed head and mid-torso.
Swivel/hinge shoulders, elbows, hips and ankles.
swivel thighs and wrists
double hinge knees

Overall:An amazing figure that is worthy of your shelves and is my stand in for my Marvel Universe Display.
10 OUT OF 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review of Marvel Universe Ages of Thunder Thor

The Basics:Price: $8.99 - $11.99 depending on retailer
Scale:  3 3/4"

First Thoughts: This Thor looks freaking epic.

Sculpt:OK maybe not amazingly epic. This Thor is a remold of the SDCC Ages of Thunder Thor. The main differences being the headsculpt and the paint is slightly lighter than the SDCC Version. Thor The face is one of the better Marvel Universe head sculpts but a bit too calm to suit Thor and the SDCC version is much better. Everything else is fantastically scultped.
Paint:Paint work is great but a little sloppy where the glove reaches the elbow. No complaints otherwise.

Accessories:Thor comes with his hammer....thats it......no base.....nothing but a hammer *sigh*

Articulation:Thor has a:
Ball jointed head  and abs

swivel hinge shoulders and ankles
swivel biceps and wrists
hinge elbows
double hinge knees
OVERALL:Thor isnt a perfect figure, not by any means, good paint, barely any accessories, nothing really stands out about him on the shelves. But he is fun, Posing him is fun and he has a great fun factor. While I cant highly reccomend him i do to those who missed out on the SDCC exclusive helmeted version.

8 out of 10!!
